Albatross Ridge ''First Flight" Pinot Noir 2014
The limited premium estate Pinot Noir showcases an exclusive label design and a rich story, which includes my hand-drawn sketch.

In the 1930s, renowned engineer and pilot William Hawley Bowlus, known for his pioneering sailplanes displayed at the Smithsonian, soared gliders over Monterey's Carmel Coast. Eight decades later, his descendants stumbled upon the same slopes, establishing a remarkable 25-acre vineyard, aka Albatross Ridge. They specialize exclusively in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, introducing their limited "First Flight," a super-premium estate Pinot Noir, featuring only 75 cases. This wine pays tribute to Bowlus' legendary BA-100 Baby Albatross airplane, marking its first flight over Carmel Coast.
